FareHarbor offers full Google Analytics and Ecommerce integration between your website and customers booking online.

Connecting FareHarbor and Google Analytics
To make sure that visitors are tracked between your website and the booking process, follow the steps below.
1. Add the Google Analytics code to your site
Add the Google Analytics tracking code to your page, if you haven’t already. This code should appear in the section of every page on your site. More information.
2. Use the Lightframe API
Make sure you are using the Lightframe API to link to FareHarbor; only buttons and links you set up using the API will enable cross-domain linking.
3. Add your Google Analytics tracking ID to FareHarbor
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your Google Analytics tracking identifier and request your integration be set up.
4. Add FareHarbor as an admin
This allows FareHarbor to communicate with your Analytics account.
- In your Google Analytics dashboard, click the Admin (gear) icon
- Depending on where you want to add the FareHarbor user, navigate to the Account, Property, or View column, then click User Management
- Click the plus + button at the top of the page, then Add new users
- Enter the email address provided to you by your FareHarbor Account Manager or Support Analyst
- Check the box next to Notify new users by email
- Under Permissions, check the box next to Edit. This will automatically enable the Collaborate and Read & Analyze permissions.
- Click Add
5. Enable Ecommerce tracking in Google Analytics
Enable ecommerce by visiting the settings for the property you are working with. In the “Ecommerce Settings” section you should ensure that “Enable Ecommerce” is set to “On”.
FareHarbor automatically sends purchase and conversion information to Google Analytics.
6. Add your domain to the Referral Exclusions list
Your Ecommerce conversion data or other tracking information may show your own website as the referral source instead of the actual referring domain. To fix this, add your domain to the referral exclusions list in Google Analytics.
Visit the “Tracking Info” section for the property you are working with. In the “Referral Exclusion List” section, select “Add Referral Exclusion” to add your website (yourwebsite.com) as an excluded domain.
Why isn’t the integration working?
If your Analytics integration isn’t working as you’d expect, double check the following:
No tracking: Make sure you’re using Google’s “Universal Analytics” tracking on your site. You’ll see
analytics.js in your tracking code. More information from Google. Also, check that you are using our Lightframe API properly.
Self-referrals: Ensure your domain is added to the referral exclusions list. (See Step 5 above.)
What parts of the booking process are tracked?
Google Analytics tracks every page view and purchase made through FareHarbor, including page views and purchases within the Lightframe (FareHarbor’s iframe booking process).
