Explore Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve
Wild Basin’s walk to the waterfall guided hikes are offered in the summer months of June and July and are a great way to learn about the native Texas Hill Country, Wild Basin’s history, and the connection to the Balcones Canyonland Preserve. Join us as one of our seasoned trail guides leads you on our trails for a 1.5-2 hour hike that covers about 1.25 miles of trails. Guided hikes begin on the deck of the Wild Basin Creative Research Center and are family friendly. Some parts of the trails cover rugged terrain and have steps without railings. A hiking stick or trekking poles are encouraged.
The guided experience ends at the waterfall area. Guests may choose to stay longer at the the waterfall, hike additional trails on their own or return to the Creative Research Center with the guide.
Guests are not allowed to go in the water.
Space is limited so make sure to reserve your spot(s) using the calendar and select an available date.
