Alden B. Dow Home and Studio Adult 2-Day Camp
Adults can be campers too!


As adults drop children off at our Architecture and Design Summer Camps, they excitedly express a wish to stay and join in all of the fun and creativity. Well, now YOU can!

The Alden B. Dow Home and Studio has created a 2-Day Adult Camp that contains many of the playful activities enjoyed by our younger campers. This two-day adventure includes canoeing the pond and exploration and reflection time spent within the Home and Studio and its grounds. Coffee meetings in the morning, lunches on the Terrace and wrap up with wine and cheese on the Porch.

In addition, Adult Camp offers design and research projects with access to the collections of The Alden B. Dow Archive, which includes: original design drawings, personal and professional correspondence, innovative project files, publications, photos and original films by Mr. Dow. Enjoy this fun and inspiring opportunity to create and play in the imaginative world of the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio.

Home and Studio Policies and Procedures

  • Parking: Parking is behind the old Post Street School.
  • Photography: We allow exterior photography but not interior photography or recording devices.
  • The Home and Studio has many level changes and is not required to follow ADA guidelines. It is not wheelchair accessible.
  • We provide a secured closet to lock up purses and handbags, and other personal belongings that we do not allow to travel through the Home and Studio.

Adult Camp Consent and Medical Release form

  • Please kindly review the attached Medical Release form and fill it out. You may mail it in, fill it out electronically before camp begins and send to Emmy at pepe@abdow.org, or simply bring it with you on the first day of camp.

Cancellation Policies and Procedures

  • Cancellation must be at least 30 days in advance of the first day of camp, to receive a full refund.
  • If your cancellation is between 29-15 days in advance of the first day of camp, you will receive a 50% refund.
  • If your cancellation is between 14-1 days in advance of the first day of camp, you will not receive a refund.
  • If cancellation due to illness a credit will be applied.
  • Minimum of 6 campers must be enrolled or camp will not run.
