Brand new for 2025, our five hour offshore whale and marine survey cruises will be heading into the outer Falmouth Bay in search of large baleen whales such as humpback whales, fin whales, and minke whales; as well as large species of pelagic dolphins, such as the bottlenose dolphin, and the long-finned pilot whale. Visits by fin and humpback whales are an annual treat that take place every year from April to September, while our minke whales and pilot whales are year-round residents.

On these trips, you will be joined on our Research Vessel "Spirit of Our Seas" by a team of professional Marine Mammal Observers, who will be carrying out scientific surveys to determine large whale occurrence in the Outer Bay; the data they collect will then be shared with NGOs and conservation groups, to help us better protect these majestic giants. Having the team of MMOs onboard will in no way alter how we run the trip; as we always say, if the whales are there, we will find them!

Please bring sun cream in the summer months, and always dress for chilly weather year round; we strongly recommend bringing waterproofs especially in the spring, autumn, and winter months.
