What awaits you?
Our intensive portrait photography course is aimed at photographers of all experience levels. In an inspiring environment, you will learn techniques for lighting, model management and image composition. The focus is on practical exercises with professional models on the picturesque beaches of the Algarve.

You should already have mastered the basics of the camera so that you are not overwhelmed with lighting and model communication.

The price includes participation in the three-day workshop, support from experienced photographers, the organization and payment of two professional models and transfer to the shooting locations. Travel, accommodation and meals are not included in the price.

Course content

• Basics of portrait photography (camera and lens settings (light, aperture, ISO, focus)

• Working with natural light (golden hour, creative use and use of light and shadow)
  Working with flashlights & reflectors

• Posing and communication with the model

• Image composition, perspective and image depth - shooting with a focus on different backgrounds (e.g. beach, rocks, old buildings)

• Storytelling through portraits - connecting model and environment, capturing emotions and stories

• Understanding and using the golden hour lighting mood

• Image evaluation, inspiration & feedback rounds
