The Vitals 808: Oahu’s Reggae Powerhouse
Hailing from the lush Windward side of Oahu, The Vitals have been electrifying Hawaii’s music scene since 2013. With a lineup that fuses raw talent and aloha spirit, the band features founding members Keahi Pi'iohia (vocals/keys), Cyd Rosa (vocals), Ata Boy Rosa (vocals/guitar), and Brandon Berinobis, alongside Asaiah "the Maad King" Scott (vocals/guitar), Guy Heresa (bass), and Lapana Ieriko (drums). Former band members include Nainoa Heffernan (vocals), Kainoa Ah Chong (drums), Shay Marcello (bass), Darin Garcia (guitar), and Tony Vierra-Albao (guitar).
Hit Makers with a Heartbeat
The Vitals burst onto the scene with their debut EP in 2014, igniting airwaves with the reggae anthem "Fake Lover." They didn’t stop there—follow-ups like their full-length album and 2019 EP featured epic collaborations with Hawaii’s reggae heavyweights, including Lion Fiyah, Bo Napoleon, Mahkess, and Kanakamon of Kapu System. Their music isn’t just catchy; it’s a bridge between culture and creativity, striking a chord with fans island-wide.
A Decade of Rhythm and Roots
Celebrating their 10th anniversary, The Vitals 808 released the stunning Hawaiian-language rendition of Bob Marley's classic, "Waiting In Vain," aptly titled Kali Ana Au. This soulful tribute reflects their dedication to honoring Hawaii’s rich heritage while keeping reggae fresh and innovative.
Influences that Inspire, Music that Moves
Drawing inspiration from reggae legends like Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, and Gregory Isaacs, The Vitals 808 have carved their own path with heartfelt original compositions. Their music embodies the essence of island living—relatable, uplifting, and deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture.
More Than a Band—A Movement
The Vitals aren’t just performers; they’re storytellers who connect with fans on and off the stage. Their tours across Hawaii’s islands bring people together, sharing unforgettable vibes and the joy of live music.
