The Journey Along the Pilgrim’s Path curriculum includes more fun in the town of Lucca! The walled city of Lucca was an important stop on the pilgrimage route from England to Rome in the Middle Ages. Because of this the art of Lucca includes relics and treasures from pilgrims near and far. The detailed packet includes a short history of the Via Francigena Pilgrims Path, 4 fun activities, 1 detailed art project, lists of materials, recommended reading, and an informational video. Students can also choose to be paired with a pen pal their age to continue the fun making global connections with new friends from Italy.
