The kayak tour will start from the closest dock to Assateague and has the best access to wildlife. Enjoy beautiful views of Assateague's lighthouse and the wildlife refugee. The kayak tour is great for families with children, couples or anyone who likes to have an adventurous experience. Depending on tides, we may even get to explore the tributaries that host an abundance of wildlife. Explore creeks, channels, coves or land on a remote beach depending on where the adventure takes us. No experience required.
Guided kayaking tours include:
Kayak & paddle (Premium sit-inside single or sit-on-top style tandem & top quality fiberglass paddles)
PFD (personal flotation device)
Guide(s) with other necessary gear
Safety & paddling instructions prior to departure
What to bring:
Come prepared to get a little wet from the drip of your paddle and be out in the sun. Dress for the weather. Lightweight, synthetic clothing is best. You can bring a camera, but they do have the possibility of getting wet, so we recommend using a water proof bag. Guided kayak tours include kayaks and gear, so just bring your personal items such as:
Bathing suit or clothes (e.g. t-shirt & shorts) that can get wet and are appropriate for kayaking
Shoes that cover feet, stay on feet & can get wet (NO flip-flops)
Hat, sunglasses and sun block
Bottled water
Change of Clothes
Camera (recommend keeping in a water proof bag)
