New York, NY
Ghost Tour • Women's History Tour • Seasonal Tour • 90 minutes
Meet the ghostly women of Greenwich Village on this 90-minute walking tour that explores the haunting histories of the neighborhood's most iconic female ghosts. Discover the stories of Gertrude Tredwell, the women of the Triangle Shirtwaist factory fire, Edith Wharton, Rose Butler, Jan Bryant Bartell, Theodosia Burr and more. On this tour we'll discuss the prevalence and significance of women in ghost stories, and share some chilling and fascinating true life tales.
We're partnering with the Merchant's House Museum in September 2024!
As a special tribute to one of our most beloved ghosts, Gertrude Tredwell, who was born September 17, 1840, we're offering discounted admission to the museum starting at 4pm. Take a self-guided tour of Gertrude's home prior to joining us for the walking tour at 5pm. Select the Merchant's House Museum Admission add-on at checkout. Proceeds will be donated directly to the museum, which is currently fighting a proposed development next door that threatens the historic structure. (See www.merchantshouse.org for more.)
