Bear Viewing requires a good deal of physical activity. Guests must be able to walk a distance of up to three miles on both gravel and slightly uneven terrain as well as walk in waist deep water.

About
- Your trip begins the day before your scheduled charter when you meet at our office in Ninilchik to be sized for gear.
- On the day of your charter, we meet at the boat launch in Anchor Point to experience one of the unique parts of the trip, the tractor launch. Once on the water we will head 45 miles to the west side of Cook Inlet with a travel time of 75- 90 minutes. We will have the opportunity to look at 3 active volcanoes, Mt. Augustine (4,134’ and last erupted in 2006), Mt Iliamna (10,016’ and last erupted in 1876) and Mt Redoubt (10.197’ and last erupted 2009). You may also be able to see otters and a variety of sea birds.
- After a 75-90 min. ride to Lake Clark National Park and walking to shore, you and your guide will begin the adventure of watching amazing bears in their natural habitat.
- Upon arrival to Lake Clark National Park, we will disembark and head to shore to begin your bear watching adventure. Your guide, with the proper safety equipment, will accompany you to answer all your questions. After we return to the boat, we head back to the boat launch.
