About
If you want to really feel the power and athleticism of these Alaskan Huskies, make a reservation for “Learn to Mush.” Your tour will begin in our spacious visitor center with an informative and entertaining video presentation. Then, your guide will ensure you have all the warm gear you’ll need to drive your team.
Our very experienced guides are also amazing teachers. They will teach you the basics of driving the sled and handling the dogs. Then you will be pulled behind a snow machine to practice and get the feel for the sled. Your guide will then help you harness and hook up a small dog team and will go ahead of you on a snow machine. You will be driving your team for 6 miles on actual Iditarod training trails.
Upon returning to the kennel you will get to thank and pet each dog on your team and the other dogs in the kennel if you want!
