Get your adrenaline pumping on a new 900 mountain snowmobile before conquering the infamous staircase to reach a giant old growth forest, open meadows, frozen alpine lakes and vast snow fields of the Callaghan. Master the riding skills of powder turns, side hills, and hill climbs. Tour includes avalanche safety equipment and a packed lunch prepared by the Bearfoot Bistro.

What to bring
- Wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. Winter jacket, snow pants, ski goggles, winter gloves and winter boots. We strongly encourage you to wear your own winter gear, however we have limited outerwear to borrow in the event you are missing any pieces.
- A camera or phone to take photos and share moments.
- Department of Transportation approved helmets will be provided for all snowmobile adventures.
Restrictions
- All drivers must have a full valid driver’s license without restrictions (equivalent to a full Class 5 or Class 6 license in BC, G license in Ontario etc) and be age 19 or older.
- All drivers under the age of 25 will be required to show their drivers license upon check in.
- The maximum rider weight for a backcountry snowmobile is 350lbs.
- All groups require a minimum of one translator to interpret the waivers. Snowmobile tours require one translator per guided group (up to 5 snowmobiles). Translators must be 19+ years and speak both English and the language of the group fluently enough to translate safety instructions and procedures.
- Under no circumstances is any person suspected to be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol permitted to go as a driver or passenger on any tour. Persons denied participation will not receive a refund.
- Due to safety requirements, pregnant women are not permitted to participate in our Snowmobile tours. Expecting mothers are welcome on our Snowcat or Snowshoe tours.
- Adventure sport activities are not recommended for individuals who suffer back or neck pain, heart or respiratory distress. Consult your physician prior to participation.
- A signed waiver must be completed before your trip.
- Book with confidence with our flexible cancellation policy (full refund 24hrs before) & additional cancellation protection (1hr before).
Cancellations
PAYMENT & CANCELLATIONS
Full payment is due at the time of booking. All reservations of less than 10 people are 100% non-refundable within 24 hrs of departure (excluding Sproatt Steak Night and Snowshoe/Campfire Cookout which are 48 hrs). Group bookings of 10 or more guests are 100% non-refundable within 72 hrs of departure. Canadian Wilderness Adventures reserves the right to cancel tours due to inclement weather, insufficient bookings or events beyond our control.
Group bookings booked via our Group Sales require final confirmed numbers 7-14 days prior to the activity date (as per your contract), and any changes inside that period are subject to 100% charge.
All tours are tentative until minimum numbers are met. Our guest experience team will contact you the day before your tour departure date if the tour is NOT confirmed. If your tour is cancelled by Canadian Wilderness Adventures, you will be issued a full refund.
Cancellation protection is available on bookings of less than 10 people on all activities except dogsled and dining tours. It must be purchased at time of booking and allows you one opportunity to cancel your tour up to 1 hour before your departure time for a full refund or reschedule your tour to a future date or time. If you purchase cancellation protection and do not show up for your tour or do not contact us at least 1 hour before your scheduled departure time the full cost of the tour is non-refundable. Cancellation protection must be purchased for each guest on the booking.
