Join Captain Greg’s Charters, LLC in beautiful Homer, Alaska, for some of the best halibut and salmon fishing in the world with Capt. Greg Sutter. My friendly and helpful guide service assists novices and experienced anglers alike with landing “a good fish or two”.
Capt. Greg will take you to some of the best halibut and salmon fishing holes in Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet, all the way down to the untamed Barren Islands--places that produce catches that make Homer the halibut fishing capital of the world! The salmon fishing can be excellent too. You may target King salmon throughout the year here in Homer.
While fishing, you will be surrounded by spectacular snow-capped mountains and volcanoes reaching over 10,000 feet high. Aquatic wildlife abounds here. You may see sea otters, sea lions, puffins, Orcas, and a whole host of other huge whales feeding in our rich waters.
Capt. Greg invites you to make a halibut or salmon fishing trip with him part of your Alaskan experience. So come on up to our little hamlet by the sea and catch the thrill of a lifetime!
Tomahawk II
You will be aboard the “Tomahawk II;” a classic 31’ Chris Craft Commander powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines. She far exceeds all U.S. Coast Guard minimum safety requirements (USCG Five Star Rated). She has an 8-person life raft aboard and an EPIRB aboard. She is equipped with complete electronics: radar, two GPS’s, Furuno Fish Finder, CB and VHF radios. She fishes up to six anglers comfortably and has an enclosed heated cabin with a full head (bathroom) and 2 bunks. The Tomahawk II is a solid, well-maintained, clean and comfortable boat. The Tomahawk II is located at Slip G-33 near Ramp 3 in the Homer Harbor. We usually return from fishing between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m

All bookings are Private Group only. You put your own group together and we’ll go fishing. No one that you don’t know will be allowed to join your group. It will be private. Safety and cleanliness are paramount aboard the Tomahawk, but the focus will be on catching fish and enjoying the day.

2025 Halibut regulations for Area 3A (Southcentral Alaska) | Halibut cannot be retained on Tuesdays or Wednesdays
Two halibut daily bag limit. If taking two per day, one must be 27-inches or smaller, the other can be any size.
Possession limit is two daily bag limits (includes unpreserved and preserved fish).
Trip limit: One trip per day.
Tuesday and Wednesday closures: Charter vessel anglers may not retain halibut.
