Duration

45 minute tour + optional picnic lunch

Catered lunch is available from local restaurants for $15-$25 per person + $10 catering fee.

About the Tour

Tour a local, family lavender farm and micro-vineyard! You will learn the history & uses of lavender and how we are transforming our farm to be drought-tolerant and sustainable. We will discuss the impacts of climate change in our region and some of the steps local farmers are taking to adapt to the changing environment.

The farmers will show you how to harvest the lavender and give you your own bundle to take home & enjoy! We also have a field of flowers where you can pick your own bundle and some seasonal products for purchase.

You’ll also get to meet our adorable yaks, goats, barn cats, and chickens!

If you choose, there are several picnic spots ready for you to enjoy your lunch and take in the picturesque landscape of rural Colorado. Tables are set with lavender lemonade where you can rest and revitalize your soul.

(Picnic lunch is not provided by the farmers, so please pack your own or fill out our catering request form!

  • Catering options from local restaurants can be arranged for $15-$25 per person on request. Please email corteztours@gmail.com to request catering.

Just as a note, on arrival you may hear one (or both) of the Australian shepherds "guarding" the house. The dogs are behind a secure fence or in the house and guests will not interact with them.
