Itinerary
We depart from the harbor
Depending on wind and pony scouting we may either head up chincoteague to the northern herd of Assateague or head to the southern herd to start out the trip
We find ponies, stay with a herd for somewhere around 10-15 minutes then move on to find the next
We look through the herds for any foals, new foals are reported and we watch for a period to make sure it is stable and doing as expected.
We travel as far as we can with the extra time allotted and see as many of the herds that are out and about at this time of year!
We sometimes travel up to 25 miles on this journey so it covers a lot of ground whilst still allowing time to view things at a leisurely pace.
