If it were easy everyone would do it!

I can not think of any better way to transition to the slower pace of Daufuskie Island, leave busy behind as you drive out to Tybee Island on the long causeway through the marshes.

Departing from the dock at the Crab Shack on Tybee Island we will head out of Chimney Creek to Tybee Creek up to and through Oyster Creek to Bull River…and you are now half way there! But in reality it is all what was once The Savannah River Delta. If you zoom out enough you will see what looks like the roots of a majestic old tree stretching 24 miles from Hilton Head SC to Wassaw National Wildlife Refuge, This is a salt marsh estuary one of the largest in the world. Winding through the marshes during twilight hours in a most exceptional way to enjoy time in nature and make the journey to the county dock on Daufuskie.

Duration:

8 hours total.

The time each way Is about an hour or less…which gives you about 6 hours to explore the island.

Renting a golf cart is recommended, we partner with Mungon Creek Golf cart rents.

Time on the

-Round Trip Private Boat Service.

The route matters…

I have made many trips to Daufuskie Island over the years from many different directions. Captaining water taxis for Bloody Point Resort and Daufuskie Discovery… Of them all this route is my favorite. It has calmest waters with the best panoramic views to enjoy any time of day.

We recommend you bring:

• Extra layers. (If it is a cool day it will be cooler on the water)
• Sun Screen (our boat does have a Bimini Top during warmer months)
• Sun Glasses – Polarized recommended
• Hat - that covers your neck and ears
• Deck shoes, tennis shoes or sandals / no hard dress shoes
• Whatever you would like to eat or drink (cooler with ice onboard)
• Camera / Binoculars
