We have been given access to the largest private rainforest reserve in the Daintree.

Leaving Port Douglas, we travel north into the lush Daintree Rainforest, crossing the Daintree River by cable ferry, and soaking in the gorgeous views from the Walu Wugirriga lookout on the Alexandra Range.

For our fascinating morning walk we enjoy an easy wild wander along the Ancient Giants Trail on our private World Heritage rainforest reserve, through one of the most biodiverse valleys of the Daintree Rainforest.

We then indulge in a rejuvenating swim in the glorious natural Dragons Lagoon.

Followed by a magnificent and informative morning stroll down our favourite secluded Daintree beach, where the rainforest meets the reef, to the mouth of the river estuary, with a chance to see the tallest mountain in the Daintree.

We then enjoy a superb gourmet lunch in a rainforest restaurant, with choices of Rib-Eye Steak, Barramundi Fish, Chicken, Vegan Wrap or Vegetarian Fettuccini, and other dietary needs catered for. Lunch is freshly cooked by a chef from the best restaurant in the area, and is followed by a delightful tropical fruit platter.

The activities are all fairly easy, but do require reasonable fitness and good balance.

All activities are seasonal and weather permitting.

PICKUP AND MEETING INFORMATION

Please note: This tour is only available for guests meeting us in Port Douglas or Mossman (Silky Oaks), or guests staying north of the Daintree River Ferry.

Get a group of four or more together to save!

We offer morning pickup service between 8:30 - 9:00am from your accommodation if you are staying in Port Douglas or Mossman (eg. Silky Oaks).

And we return to your accommodation between approx 2:30 to 3:00pm.

This tour is recommended for 10-75 years of age. Maximum group size: 11

What to bring

Be prepared for a fantastic day in the rainforest.

Please bring:

• loose clothing suitable for hiking, hat, fresh shirt for the afternoon, sunscreen, insect repellant (or long sleeves/pants), swimming gear, towel, raincoat or poncho, sunglasses, walking shoes, camera. Water bottle (not glass).
