Overview

Get your mom outside for something fun on Mother's Day on one of our fat bikes. Start by renting one or more of our fat bikes for a beautiful one hour self-guided ride along Brown's Creek State Trail or the new St. Croix Crossing Loop (The loop won't be completed until the summer of 2019 but it's still a great ride as you cross the new bridge over to Wisconsin and have amazing views of Stillwater). Upon returning, have a pint of one of Maple Island's awesome craft beers or root beer on us! Maple Island Brewing is a craft micro-brewery/tap room in historic downtown Stillwater, Minnesota that is a local favorite. They create full flavored beers that are always thoughtfully and creatively crafted using unique and often local ingredients.

We have bikes that fit the average 5th grader and larger.

What You Can Expect

• Framed fat tire bike rental provided onsite
• Bring your own bike helmets (we have helmets available for those who do not have one)
• One hour self-guided bike ride that is an out-and-back on Brown's Creek Trail or the new St. Croix Crossing Loop Trail
• Great for all riders

Terrain

Brown's Creek - Relatively flat with an uphill as you head out of town that is a fun coasting experience as you head back to Maple Island Brewing. The trail follows Brown's Creek and is really quite lovely and relaxing.

St. Croix Crossing Loop - Gradual uphill as you ride out of Stillwater and across the new bridge to Wisconsin. On your return you get to coast most of the way!

What Sizes Are Available?

We have sizes that fit the average 5th grader and larger.

What Size Bike Do I Need?

Please reference the sizing chart below to ensure we get you a bike that fits. You will see there is some overlap between the sizes. Typically, people feel more comfortable on a smaller frame rather than a larger frame when mountain biking.

13" Wolftrax Compact:

• Adults with a smaller build btw 4' 6" and 5' 2". We have seen that most adults over 5' 2" prefer to ride a 15" frame as the Compact is equipped with 24" tires.

15" Wolftrax Alloy Women's Specific (see sizing chart below)

• Women's bike offers lower standover height, narrower handlebars, and a women's specific seat

15"-21" Wolftrax Alloy (see sizing chart below)

Requirements

• For your safety and others, participants must be sober prior to using a bike. If participants are suspected of consuming alcohol, they will be turned away without a refund as your safety is our primary concern.
• Bike helmets must be worn
• Bring driver's license for check-in
• In the event of bad weather or activity cancellation you will be contacted to reschedule or a full refund can be provided.
