About
This trip floats a beautiful, approximately 2-mile stretch of the North Platte River from the Buffalo Bill Campground to Cody Park. You can choose from Tanks, Tubes, Kayaks, or Canoes. We provide life jackets and oars/paddles, and there is bench seating in the tanks. Bringing snacks and coolers with your favorite beverages is encouraged -- there is plenty of room in the tanks for coolers, and if you are tubing we have cooler tubes available for rent as well.
No need to worry about transportation or hauling equipment, we take care of all of that for you! We will pick you up at Cody Park where you can leave your vehicles, transport you to the beginning of your float, and send you off on your adventure. The float trip will end back at Cody Park (where your vehicles are); pull your equipment out of the water, leave lifejackets and oars/paddles in your water vessel, and you are on done. It's that simple!
* Water levels are always fluctuating. We check levels daily and if levels drop too low we will call you to let you know your options, which could include alternate equipment or trips. Call 308-530-0048 if you have questions*
All times listed are Central Time Zone.
Important information
- Pick up location is Cody Park. Take the north entrance to the park (just before Highway 83 crosses the river), then turn north (left) and proceed into the gravel parking lot at the base of the highway bridge next to the river.
- Please check in 10 minutes prior to your schedule departure time. All times listed are Central Time Zone.
- Life jackets are required by State Law. We have life jackets available for participants 5 years old and older. If you have younger participants, you must provide life jackets for them.
- Alcohol is allowed…Please drink responsibly!!
- If tanking, someone in your party must be able to get out of the tank into the water at the end to help guide the tank into the exit point.
- Upon exiting the water, please move all equipment, including tanks, out of the river access ramp so other people enjoying a float down the river are able to safely exit the water as well.
- DO NOT LITTER! Please take all trash, cans, bottles, etc. with you when you leave. Help keep our beautiful waterways clean for all to enjoy.
- The land on each side of the river is Private Property along the float (except at the entrance and exit points), so please stick to the water. There are typically sand bars in the river in places along the float where you could get out and play in the water if you wish to.
- To keep phones safe, we have Aquacase waterproof, floating phone cases available for purchase.
- Stadium seats are available to rent for use in the tanks for anyone looking for a little extra cushion or back support.
- If you have any questions or anyone needing special accommodations please call us at 308-530-0048.
