Activity details
This is a three-hour walking tour, where there’s mostly eating and less than 10 minutes’ walk between each stop. You’ll be able to explore two different neighbourhoods.
Feel a real sense of community, get to know how locals live and eat as you learn about the history and culture.
We’ll have five stops which have been specially selected where you’ll indulge and learn all about this unique gastronomic tradition of "going out for pintxos!"

All food is included, there are five food stops this means there's 5-7 tastes and 5 different drinks which includes local wines or non-alcoholic pairings if you prefer.

Meeting location: BEHIND the Good Shepherd Cathedral called ‘La Catedral del Buen Pastor’ in Spanish. It’s a pedestrian area with a few white benches. Just head to the back of the cathedral.

Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee substitutions for major food allergies such as celiac disease and other food allergies. You’re welcome to join us, but you may miss out on a number of tastings. Please note, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination may not occur due to the nature of our tasting locations.

What are the group sizes?
This experience has a maximum of 8 guests. You can also book a private tour and these can be as many as you wish.
How much do you eat?
It’s like a full meal – by the end of the Pintxos Tour, most guests are fully-satisfied. There are 5-7 tastes and dishes with 5 glasses of wine and local drinks. For those with larger appetites, we recommend having something light prior to the walking tour.
How much walking is there?
It’s less than 10 minutes walk between each stop. We do recommend you wear comfortable shoes and please note that we will be standing most of the time. It’s the Basque way! Try not to bring bulky back-bags or handbags.
Remember this tour is also wheelchair friendly if you let us know beforehand.
Is the tour child and family friendly?
Yes! 100% San Sebastian is very child and family friendly, you can tell by the push strollers in bars and all the kids running around in the plazas. Children learn how to eat delicious food at a young age and it’s very common for children to go out with their parents for pintxos. Your kids will love it!
Are alcohol pairings mandatory?
Not at all, you can choose to have non-alcoholic beverages, just let us know.
What positive social impact does this tour create when I purchase it?
We donate the equivalent of what a meal costs the city’s soup kitchen run by Caritas Gipuzcoa.
Do I need to take any extra cash?
Only if you need to pay for transport to the meeting point, ask your taxi if you can pay with a card before you hop on, they’re not always used to it. If you’d like to purchase any personal items along the tour or any additional food and drinks.
Cancellations
We try to be as accommodating as possible as we know life happens. Customers can receive a full refund or credit with 48 hours notice of cancellation please notify us by EMAIL in advance and we will offer a free cancellation for your Food Tour tickets, you may also choose to convert your ticket to a Gift Certificate or exchange for a new date (based on availability) – for NO CHARGE.
For private tours please let us know 14 days before your tour. If you've paid a deposit for your private tour, the deposit amount is non-refundable.
