forage on the lavender plants.
By booking this farm experience , I confirm that I have read this information , as well as the standard Health & Safety Policy of the farm. And that I understand and agree to the information
and the hazards that exist including the risk of bee stings etc. And that I accept full responsibility for myself , and the participants that I am booking. Furthermore , I / we agree to not hold liable the Farm Management, Staff, Property Owners for any accident or incident that may occur as a result of a visit to Erin Hill Acres.
Lavender season is short. Mother Nature is fully in charge of when these beautifull fragrant flowers perform for us.
Our 10,000 lavender plants typically begin to bloom mid JUNE This is when our fields begin to "Pop".
Gentle, fragile, blue, purple, pink & white, the flowers beckon our honey bees to polinate.
The arrival of July and it's summer warmth, signal the peak of lavender season in Ontario. This is when the stems are full of colour and the fragrence is everywhere. Mother Nature is still in charge and she ultimately determins how long the lavender show will last.
The first three weeks in July is usually what people call the optimal time to experience lavender. As the season passes, flowers age and fade , they become an elegent silver colour.
Here at Erin Hill Acres we believe that you should visit FIRST during bud break in mid June and AGAIN at full bloom in mid July. The final stage of the flower is the first two weeks of August where the plant is still fragrent, but the flowers grey and silver.
A witness to the seasonal cycle of this ancient plant is meaningful.

Lavender stems are not included in the price of admission. Upon arrival to the farm you will purchase "Lavender Vessels" from The Shoppe located in the historic barn.
You will also be loaned safety scissors and provided with instruction on how to safely cut the lavender.
Signage will be located in the field where cutting is permitted. Only those identified as cuttable are to be touched.
You cut the lavender and whatever fits inside the vessel is yours to take home. The more vessels you purchase the better the price.
Return to barn to hand in the scissors, to have your bouquets professionally wrapped and to browse the many treasures & treats that The Shoppe has to offer.

Farm fresh honey from our hives - Our 200,000 Bees feast on lavender nectar & make the most delicious honey. Did you know honey is a super food?
Wood fired pizza baked right in front of you- The Spicy Salami, Arugula & Honey Drizzle pizza is fantastic.
Your admisison includes access to all the farm has to offer (During the hours selected), incliding a visit to the Highland Cows, kids play area, walking trails etc…
