The Irish Linen Industry was the biggest in the World during the mid 19th Century through to the 20th Century.
This tour explores its origins and follows its growth from cottage industry to global industry. The tour starts in Belfast's Linen Quarter and takes in the magnificent City Hall, built on the site of the White Linenhall. You'll then travel to the Lagan Canal, visiting the Lock Keeper's Cottage and the barge used to supply the linen mills. Arriving in Lisburn, you'll explore the Linen Museum and view one of the last remaining looms and then you'll be taken to the Linen Heartland along the River Bann.
