Let Face The Outdoors show you Alaska under the stars at the Aurora Viewing Lodge. We'll take you on a northern lights adventure in the heart of Alaska!

Sit back and relax in the comfort of the lodge as you watch the magical aurora borealis unfold before your eyes.

For this aurora tour, your group will travel to a remote/private location where you'll enjoy the night all to yourselves. Avoid the crowded uncomfortable vans, big group tours, overcrowded pullouts, and the cloudy skies. We chase the lights only when necessary, otherwise enjoy the comfort of the lodge and its amenities.

You'll be guided by a local Alaskan native who knows the area and where to go and has grown up experiencing this natural phenomenon.

Your local guide will teach you how to set up your personal camera equipment so that you go home with excellent northern lights photos of your own. You can choose to rent one of our cameras at the time of booking if you don't have your own.

You'll be picked up in our 15-passenger van where you'll enjoy the comfort and warmth while keeping an eye out for the aurora on the way.

We've made sure the lodge is located in an area with dark skies and zero light pollution. This makes seeing even the faintest aurora possible with the naked eye.

Located less than 100 miles from Fairbanks, the Aurora Viewing Lodge sits under the aurora oval, a section of the earth's atmosphere where you can see the northern lights.

Need help with your camera settings? No problem. We have a professional photographer on board to help you with your settings. We want to make sure you get the best photos to capture your experience.

Please dress appropriately for times outside viewing and taking pictures.
