Session Description

Get hugs and unconditional love from our therapy cows. Meditate with them, hug them, and let them reassure you, fill you up, and love you. Put your worries down and leave renewed. The cows are here for you.

Each cow hug therapy session is for one hour and work best for one individual at a time, although we do allow guests to bring a spouse or one friend when requested. It is for ages fourteen and and older and is not just for fun; we have private tours for animal lovers who want to meet our animals. Cow hug therapy is intended for those who are looking for healing, peace, and hope from whatever you are going through.

Session Breakdown

• 1-hour sessions are held on Tue., Wed., Thu., and Sat.
• Time slots: 12pm-1pm or 1pm-2pm

• 2 Hour Cow Hug Therapy Session

• This visit DOES NOT include time with any other animals on the property.

We Are Not Therapists

Cow Hug Therapy is a therapeutic experience in which you can spend one-on-one time connecting with the cows of The Gentle Barn, allowing you to hug them while they hug you, taking in the bond of such a large and peaceful creature and becoming one. The Gentle Barn's staff or volunteer are there to facilitate the connection and provide safety between you and the cows but they are NOT therapists, and in no way offer medical or mental health advice themselves. In the event that additional mental health support is needed, The Gentle Barn recommends reaching out a licensed mental health clinician.

At The Gentle Barn, our animals always come first. Our animals get to live their very best lives, eat on a schedule, and spend time with their friends. Our tours and guests get to enjoy the animals, while the animals are enjoying their natural lives and may not always be available. Thanks for the understanding and for loving animals with us.
