Activity details
Sendy Sundays at Gravity Nelson’s exclusive Field of Dreams is your gateway to mastering jumps, drops, and airborne tricks in a safe, controlled, and progression-focused environment. Designed for riders of all ages and abilities—from kids just finding their confidence in the air, to adults looking to refine their jumping technique or even learn new tricks—these sessions leverage our unparalleled facilities and expert coaching to help you reach new heights (literally!).
Imagine a place where every feature is carefully designed to help riders progress safely and confidently. That’s exactly what you’ll find at the Field of Dreams, Gravity Nelson’s private mountain bike skills park, boasting:
- 50+ Jumps of various sizes and shapes
- 30+ Drops progressing from tiny to towering
- Two Airbags (a flat bag and a lander bag) and a Mulch Jump for safer trick attempts and confidence building
Our experienced, qualified coaches guide you step-by-step, ensuring each rider—no matter their starting level—learns proper body position, take-off techniques, landing strategies, and even the fundamentals for new tricks. Young riders can benefit from a carefully structured progression that reduces fear and risk, while experienced adults can push their boundaries with bigger airs and new maneuvers with the confidence that the airbags will reduce the consequences of mistakes.
This unique training environment simply isn’t available in public facilities around the Top of the South. Here, you can develop skills that would be risky or difficult to acquire on regular trails. By the end of a Sendy Sunday session, you’ll have a toolkit of knowledge and technique improvements that translate directly back to your everyday riding adventures.

FAQs
Q: Is this suitable for complete beginners?
A: Yes! We start with small features and basic body position drills so even first-time jumpers can progress safely. However Intermediate level riders and above will get the most from these particular sessions, we have other packages that are more targeted for complete beginners.
Q: Can adults join too?
A: Absolutely. We regularly coach "kids of all ages" (ie adults) who want to improve their jumping technique, add tricks, or overcome fear barriers.
Q: How do airbags help?
A: Airbags provide softer landings when practicing new tricks or jumps. They reduce the risk of injury, making progression safer and more comfortable.
Q: What if I’m already a decent jumper?
A: Perfect! Our coaches can help you refine technique, attempt bigger jumps, or learn new tricks. There’s always room for improvement.
Q: Are sessions only on Sundays?
A: We typically run these on the last Sunday of the month. However, for groups of 6+, we can arrange custom dates—just contact us.
