Our distillery tour has been voted Best Spirits/Wine Tour by OnMilwaukee and Shepherd Express readers many years in a row. During our approximately one hour tour, visitors will learn about our award-winning products, how we make them, and enjoy a guided sampling flight of six spirits.

Distillery Tour FAQ

What does the distillery tour include?
The tour includes an informative discussion on the distillation process and our distillery, as well as a tasting flight of our award winning spirits.

How long is the tour?
The tour is approximately one hour long.

When should I arrive for my tour?
Tours begin promptly at the published tour time. We recommend arriving at least 10-15 minutes before your scheduled tour to allow enough time to check in and order a cocktail to enjoy while on the tour.

The tour I want to join is sold out online, are walk-up tickets available?
Yes, we offer 5 tickets for each tour that may be purchased in person for same day tours. Tickets may be purchased during normal tasting room hours. We open Monday - Friday at noon, and at 11:00 am on weekends.

I have a free tour card from a bottle I purchased at a local liquor store. May I reserve tour tickets online?
Tour cards are for walk-up, same day tours, and are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Are children allowed on the tour?
Yes, minors are allowed on our tour as long as they are accompanied by their legal guardian. Children under the age of 18 are free.

Is the facility handicap accessible?
Yes, however, to join the tour, guests will need to exit our main entrance and follow the parking lot down to our production floor door. There are two small flights of stairs (16 steps) from our tasting room to our production area. We do not have elevators in our facility.

May I enjoy a cocktail while on the tour?
Yes! You may grab a cocktail in our tasting room before, during, and after your tour.

May I purchase your products when I visit for the tour?
Yes, we have a retail area in our tasting room that carries all of our spirits, as well as t-shirts, glassware, and other souvenirs to remind you of your visit.

Do you offer anything for designated drivers?
At Great Lakes Distillery, we want everyone to enjoy our spirits in moderation. For this reason, we offer a non-drinker ticket. This ticket allows a driver to enjoy the tour without the tasting flight.
