Disclaimers
Hello!
Dez here, founder and primary tour guide for Haunted Traverse Tours. I often get asked if ghosts are real and if this tour will provide proof that spirit exists.
I take the passionate position that to truly understand the paranormal one must have a paranormal experience that defies scientific explanation. This is my one hope for everyone to see how infinite our universe is and how full of possibility our lives are.
However, I do not believe that my ghost tours are the venue to help prove paranormal happenings are real. So with that, please know that this tour and all tours with Haunted Traverse Tour Company are for entertainment purposes only.
Now with that being said, I have had several paranormal experiences in downtown Traverse City and throughout my life. I continue to explore why these strange occurrences happen and have become a folklorist, historian, and paranormal investigator that travels the world trying to expand my understanding in this subject.
I hope this tour helps you ask the questions and helps you expand your interest in the paranormal too! At the least hopefully the tour is a fun, engaging, spooky fun time for you and yours.
So, get ready for lots of history, some entertaining ghost stories, lots of laughs, and explanation of how TC came to be! All of this packed into a full 90-minutes in downtown Traverse City.
I hope to see you out on one of my curated tours passionately researched and designed by myself.

FAQs
I noticed there is ghost hunting during this tour. What does that entail? Do we have to participate?
The ghost hunting concludes the tour during the last 5 minutes and is completely optional. Guests who opt out are encouraged to continue to walk with the tour guide as they speak on the subject of TC's first official cemetery and how it came to be. Some baseline equipment is given with a short instruction and then guests listen to how the cemetery came to be while ghost hunting. A very short excursion into a haunted park is an option. The tour concludes at Perry Hannah Circle where we speak shortly and conclude the tour.
Does this tour run over in time?
It can if there are a lot of questions asked or if a guest is a slower walker and we slow down so everyone can walk together.
Can I bring my puppy?
Well behaved puppies are welcome.
Does the tour operate in the rain?
Yes! Please plan accordingly.
