Your Ghost Host will guide you on a fascinating nighttime walk of Shockoe Bottom, the oldest and most haunted neighborhood in Richmond, where over 400 years of history have produced an ample share of those caught between this world and the next. Hear tales of the mysterious, tragic and downright terrifying things that have led to numerous reports of paranormal activity along the tour route including: The Old Stone House, Civil War hospitals, and more.

This tour walks about 3/4 miles over historic sidewalks. There is little elevation change on the tour, but guests should be able to navigate occasional uneven footing.

Q: It's raining. Will the tour still run?
A: Our tours run rain or shine, except in cases of extreme weather as determined at the sole discretion of Haunts of Richmond management. In the rare event that Haunts of Richmond must cancel a tour, we will call you and give you the option of a full refund or rescheduling. Full refunds will not be offered unless Haunts of Richmond cancels the tour.
Q: Can I record the tour?
A: Guests are welcome and encouraged to take photos, but audio and video recordings are not permitted.
Q: Will I see a ghost?
A: Ghosts are not on payroll and are not guaranteed to show themselves on the tour. Guests are encouraged to take photos, and quiet paranormal investigation tools, including EMF Meters and Dowsing Rods are permitted.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Dogs are allowed and they must remain leashed at all times. If your dog becomes agitated, we ask that you step away to calm them down so that others may continue to enjoy the tour. Owners should remain vigilant for hazards such as broken glass.
Cancellations
By purchasing tickets from Haunts of Richmond, you agree to the following cancellation policy:
- All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable within 24 hours of the scheduled tour time.
- With a minimum of 24 hours notice, tickets may be transferred to another tour one time.
- With a minimum of 24 hours notice, cancellation requests can receive a 100% credit to be used on a future tour in the form of a digital gift card. If a monetary refund is requested, a 25% surcharge will be withheld from the ticket purchase. Merchandise purchases will be refunded in full.
- Please verify all tour selections with your entire party before booking. We understand that people can overbook themselves, get tired, get lost, or change their minds, but no exceptions will be made to the above rules.
