The starting point of the tour is the bicycle rental 'Instabikel', Tesselschadestraat 1, close to Leidseplein, where you will receive your bicycle.
Amsterdam South has many monuments and buildings from World War II, including the house where Anne Frank lived with her parents and sister before they went into hiding.
Places where the round up (infamous razzia) of the Jewish citizens living in this part of the city took place.
The German army headquarters and civil services, the headquarters of the Dutch Nazi party (NSB-National Socialist Movement) in Amsterdam all concentrated at Museumplein. In 1941 Museumplein was visited by SS and Gestapo (the German secret police) chief Heinrich Himmler.
The Gestapo headquarters Amsterdam, which was partially destroyed by allied ait attack in 1944. Resistance safe houses.
We also visit places where executions, raids and battles between the Dutch resistance and German soldiers took place.
The tours are given by three retired historians with a passion for the history of the German occupation during the Second World War.
The bike tour will not visit places from the WW2 walking tour.
