Day 1: Arrival and Welcome
Depending on your flight schedule, airport pick up and hotel check in. We will have a short cozy welcome session to meet your trip guides. In the hotel room, relax from your long flight until you're ready to go to the spa.
Morning and Afternoon optional Spa: Head to a Korean spa (jjimjilbang) for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Enjoy soaking in hot baths, sweating in saunas, and indulging in various spa treatments. There is a food court inside the spa with a variety of yummy food to choose from. This is a flexible schedule time, you're welcome to go anytime and stay as long as you like.
Evening: We've built in some downtime in the evening to help you adjust to the time difference (jet lag is real!). If you're feeling up for it, let's explore the area around the hotel for delicious authentic Korean cuisine.
Day 2: Cultural Exploration in Insadong and Bukchon Hanok Village
Morning: Have breakfast at a hotel and start your day with a visit to Insadong, known for its traditional Korean crafts, tea houses, and galleries. Explore the alleyways and shops, sampling street food snacks along the way.
Afternoon: Visit the Bukchon Hanok Village, where you can wander through narrow alleys lined with well-preserved traditional Korean houses (hanoks). Experience a hanbok (traditional Korean attire) rental and take photos in this picturesque neighborhood. Have traditional Korean lunch, savoring authentic dishes like jeon (Korean pancakes), doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), and banchan (assorted side dishes).
Evening: Do some neighborhood sightseeing and enjoy a delicious dinner of bibimbap (mixed rice with vegetables and meat) or bulgogi (marinated grilled beef).
Day 3: Culinary Adventure in Gwangjang Market and Korean Cooking Class
Morning: Explore Gwangjang Market, one of Seoul's oldest and largest traditional markets, known for its diverse array of street food stalls and vendors. Sample various Korean snacks and delicacies like bindaetteok (mung bean pancakes) and kimbap (seaweed rice rolls).
Afternoon: Attend a Korean cooking class to learn how to prepare classic Korean dishes from a local chef. Enjoy hands-on experience making dishes like kimchi, bulgogi, and japchae (stir-fried glass noodles). Relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor as you have the dishes you prepared during the cooking class.
Evening: In the evening, enjoy a performance of Nanta, a non-verbal comedic cooking show. This is a popular activity for tourists and a fun way to experience Korean culture and have private dining fusion food.
Day 4: Cultural Immersion at Gyeongbokgung Palace, Traditional Tea Ceremony, and Korean Spa
Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel. Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, the largest and most iconic of Seoul's Five Grand Palaces, to learn about Korea's royal history and architecture. Optional Hanbok Rentals to take pictures at the Palace.
Afternoon: Head to a Korean spa (jjimjilbang) for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Enjoy soaking in hot baths, sweating in saunas, and indulging in various spa treatments. Have delicious Korean snacks and food options while you relax.
Evening: In the evening, enjoy a delicious Korean BBQ dinner. This is a must-do for any visitor to Korea.
Day 5: Cultural and Food Exploration in Jongno District
Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel. Explore the Jongno district, one of Seoul's oldest and most historically significant neighborhoods. Visit Jogyesa Temple, a major Buddhist temple in the heart of the city, and stroll through the surrounding streets lined with traditional markets and shops.
Afternoon: Indulge in a royal court cuisine lunch at a restaurant specializing in dishes once served to Korean royalty. Experience the refined flavors and presentation of traditional Korean palace cuisine.
Evening: Take a guided food tour of Jongno, sampling a variety of authentic Korean dishes at local eateries, including famous specialties like bossam (boiled pork belly wraps) and pajeon (green onion pancakes).
Day 6: Departure from Seoul
Sleep in and enjoy a final leisurely breakfast at your hotel. Depending on your departure time, you may have some time for some last-minute shopping before heading to the airport for your departure flight.
