Going out on the water requires basic boating safety knowledge and a good understanding of the “rules of the road” for Canadian waterways. That is why everyone who operates a motorized pleasure craft must carry proof of competency (PCOC) on board. This includes all types of motorized boats, no matter the size or horsepower of the engine.

The KYC Boating Safety 101 course will provide you with valuable information for safe boating, getting you comfortable to be out on the water. This course includes attaining your Boating License - Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC) and participating in a 2.5-hour practical on the water session taught by an experienced instructor on a KYC boat. After attending the on-water session you will receive a unique promo code to attain your PCOC ($40 Value.)

Already have your PCOC? Great! You can skip the PCOC aspect and book your on-water training session right away. With boating season right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to enroll in some on-water safety training!
