Laura is a French Creole plantation tour that has true, first-hand personal stories discovered in archives in the U.S. and France. It details the lives of 4 generations of Louisiana Créole women, children both free and enslaved people, who lived and worked on this 1805 sugar plantation. A 75-minute, fully guided experience led by knowledgeable, passionate interpreters.

It also includes the Big House, gardens and original 1840s slave cabins, inhabited by descendants of enslaved West-Africans until 1977. Behind the scenes curated group visits of the new exhibit From the Big House to the Quarters: Slavery on Laura Plantation delve into the subjects of slavery research and women in Créole, Louisiana.
