Let me tell you the secrets of this Medieval Inn while preparing an Irish Coffee for you.
This is a great experience for those in smaller groups who want to chat about the local history of Kytelers Inn and with the owner.
Each visitor will receive the history of Kytelers Inn and of its previous owner Alice Kyteler.
The first thing you'll do is pull up a stool and we'll have a chat in a pub that’s 700 years old. Now lets make an Irish coffee before I tell you about the haunted history and terrible things the former medieval owner got up to .
I'll show you the ingredients for your perfect Irish coffee and the tips and tricks to understanding getting the cream to float. It’s not science, it’s magic. Then its into the whiskey…The water of life.
I'll talk you through the history of whiskey in Ireland and Kilkenny. We will add our ingredients together and drink an Irish coffee together. It’s about spirits before we get to the spooky spirits.
While we sip our Irish coffee I'll chat to you about life in Kilkenny and tell you the story of Alice Kyteler, the former owner of Kytelers Inn that was accused of witchcraft, heresy and murder.
While sipping the coffee, we can take a private tour of the Medieval Inn. Have your wondered why there are pictures of cats everywhere?
