In this session, you'll learn to craft a variety of seasonal breads that bring warmth and cheer to any celebration. Discover essential techniques for mixing, kneading, and baking, while exploring the rich flavours and textures that make these breads perfect for sharing with family and friends.
What's included
Panettone - Panettone is a sweet Italian bread loaf filled with candied fruits and raisins, characterized by its light, airy texture and delightful aroma.
Irish soda bread - Irish Soda Bread is a traditional unleavened bread made with baking soda, buttermilk, and flour, resulting in a hearty, slightly tangy loaf with a dense crumb.
Baked Camembert Roll - Warm, gooey cheese encased in crusty bread, creating a decadent appetizer.

Techniques you will learn:
Learn how ingredients work, why is your bread good one day and not good the next? Let our resident chef show you how to produce a consistently good loaf.
Learn how to shape the dough and apply toppings.
What signs to look for to judge when your products are proved and how to produce a crispy crust yet light and airy crumb.
Recipes:
- Full recipes including ingredients list and method are provided for you to take home to add to your repertoire so you can keep on cooking them time and time again.

What to bring
You do not need to bring any other equipment or ingredients with you as this will be provided by the cookery school and is included in the cost.
At Leeds cookery school we aim for our guests to take home a combination of newfound skills, knowledge, and a memorable experience that enriches their culinary curiosities and encourages them to explore & enjoy food in new and exciting ways.
At the end of our workshops we encourage our guests to relax and enjoy tasting the fruits of their labour and share the experience with their fellow participants.
Cancellations
In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your place on a class, you may do so in writing by email or by post no later than 14 days prior to the class date without charge. However, if you cancel less than 14 days prior to the class date, you will not be eligible for a refund, you may of course swap the name on your booking so someone else can attend in your place.
Although highly unlikely, we do reserve the right to cancel a class or course due to circumstances beyond our control, in which case you can either transfer your booking to an equivalent class or a full refund will be given.
