Children under 4 years are able to participate with no charge when accompanying an adult paying to do the Meet a Koala session.
Children aged 4-12 years must pay and be accompanied by an adult also paying to do the same Meet a Koala session.

Looking for an opportunity to meet one of Australia’s iconic species? Then purchase this Meet the Koala ticket and you will get to enter the koala habitat, observe them close up and feel the fur of one of them. Learn from our keepers about the species, their threats, conservation status and how you can help their survival.
Take unlimited photos on your own device.
As koalas sleep an average of 18-20 hours per day and we respect their rest time, there is no guarantee that the koala will be awake for this interaction.

You can take as many photos as you like on your own devices.

NOTE: Animal Interactions are an additional purchase upon Animal Park entry. Please ensure that Maru Entry tickets are purchased in addition to the Meet a Koala.

Other Information

• All interactions are at the keepers discretion and may be unavailable in extreme weather conditions to ensure the welfare and safety of our animals and visitors. If Maru cancels the experience for any reason, an alternative experience or full refund will be offered.
• Animals at Maru have the freedom to choose if and how they interact with visitors during experiences, so up close touching and feeding usually occurs but is not guaranteed.
• All tickets require the Credit/Debit Card along with photo ID and signature of the purchaser, or a valid company email/voucher to be presented upon arrival, otherwise entry will be refused.

Terms & Conditions
It is important that you arrive early as the experience will not be delayed and will start at the advertised time. If you are late you will miss out on the experience and refunds will not be provided. Please dress appropriately for the forecast weather on the day. The Keepers have the right to cancel this and all animal experiences due to extreme weather or any other situation they feel may compromise the safety and welfare of the animals and visitors and in that instance a different experience may be offered or a full refund. For safety please wear closed in shoes, no thongs or sandals.
