Admission tickets:
Advance Tickets (highly recommended) on sale through Sept 22. After that you can still purchase online but at full price, plus any applicable handling fee.

$8 per adult, (plus processing fees)
$4 per youth ages 4-12, (plus processing)
Free for ages 3 and under
Parking: $5 per car.

Friday is Family Fun Day. Save up to 50% in advance, online only. $25 per car up to 5 people / $5 parking.

Tethered rides are first come, first serve. They are tentatively scheduled to begin at around 4:30 p.m. The exact start time will be determined based on weather that day and may be delayed if the winds are too strong.We strongly advise you do not get in line until the balloon arrives and has begun to inflate.

Balloomination Balloon Glow will be held on Saturday and Sunday night, at around 7:30 pm. This incredible balloon show synched to some classic musical favorites, is a crowd pleaser! Brought to you by Warren County Cultural & Heritage Division of Land Preservation, Explore Warren County Tourism Partnership (explorewarren.org) and RE/MAX.

Balloon activity, for those that have never been to a balloon festival, is typically in the evening, close to the scheduled launch time. We will have musical & other entertainment, vendors & food trucks, throughout the day. Please check the schedule.

About Us

In 2001 a local balloon pilot, Fred Grotenhuis, approached the Fair about incorporating a Hot Air Balloon Festival at their County Fair. Fred, a life long resident of Harmony Township, New Jersey had fond memories of the Fair when he was growing up. He thought that as ballooning was an exciting activity in the area it would be a good draw to the Fair.

The first year there were about 15 balloonists that gathered, from Wednesday through Saturday.Over the years the number of pilots grew and they also began to show for informal flights on Monday and Tuesday. It wasn't long before there were nightly balloon launches and the Balloon Festival was expanded to the 6 days of the Fair. Today the Fair runs 8 days, with balloon activity each evening.

In 2020, when COVID cancelled the Fair, the balloon portion of the Fair moved temporarily to the Warren Community College. The College has been a long time sponsor and over recent years started doing drone demonstrations to highlight their new Drone Program at the College. The event was so successful that two additional balloon events were added in Warren County, and thus a new tradition has begun.
