As whitewater rafting river trips go, a Penobscot River trip is The best whitewater experience you’ll find anywhere. The awesome “Ripogenous Gorge" has 80-foot high walls and exciting rapids. Below the gorge are numerous " pool-and-drop" rapids – all challenging, memorable and FUN!

On the Penobscot Ultimate, we focus on rafting the upper section (class 4-5 whitewater) 2 times and do not run the lower section. This trip focuses on rafting the Upper Gorge, Cribworks and Big A two times.

For the best experience, we recommend rafting the Penobscot Full River on day #1 and rafting the Penobscot Ultimate on day #2. Both trips return back to our base (Millinocket, Maine) at the end of the day where we offer camping, lodging and meals.
