Treat Dad to two of his favorites, BBQ and Trains! This luncheon event for Father’s Day is you opportunity to enjoy the luxury of the Dining Car with the comfort food of Famous Daves Barbeque.
Enjoy their ribs and chicken included with your meal, a fun dessert and a lovely excursion along the Lakefront Line on the North Shore Scenic Railroad. Two trip options: a morning 75-minute trip, or an afternoon 2.5 hour excursion. Price is only $5 difference.
Tables are seats of 4, so bring the whole family! Pairs of 2 may be seated with another guest.
This is not a wheelchair accessible train. Children 5 and under are not recommended, all passengers on this train will need a ticket.

Check-in details
Please be sure to arrive 20-30 minutes prior to your excursion time to pick up your tickets at the will-call desk, on the lower level (back entrance) of the Duluth Depot. It just takes a few seconds.
Doors close 2 minutes prior to departure for safety checks. Any passengers who arrive after this time will not be permitted to board and will not receive a refund.
Pickup your tickets at the ticket window on the day of your excursion. You will only need your last name.
What to bring
You are welcome to bring snacks and nonalcoholic beverages on the train. However, we do have a concession car where those items will be available and we encourage passengers to take advantage of that.
Restrictions
Pets
Pets are not allowed on any excursions or in the museum. Service animals, as defined by the Americans with disabilities act (ada), are allowed in/on trains and Lake Superior Railroad Museum. Service animals are animals that are individually trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities – such as guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling wheelchairs, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, or performing other special tasks. This does not include therapy or emotional support dogs.
Can we bring strollers?
Strollers are not permitted on the trains due to space limitations. The operating conductor on duty has the authority to approve or deny the loading of any items such as strollers, bags, suitcases, etc. Strollers are suggested to be left in a vehicle or at the station, where they can be parked near the ticket office for pickup after the excursion.

Do I need a Reservation?
Reservations are strongly recommended but not required for this excursion. Tickets may be purchased up to 20 minutes prior to departure. This train can sell out, so it is recommended to pre-purchase your tickets.
Cancellations
TERMS BASICS: IF A RESERVATION IS CANCELLED WITH ATLEAST 48 HOURS OR MORE NOTICE PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED TRAIN OR EVENT, AN EXCHANGE OF DATE, TIME, OR EXCURSION MAY BE PERMITTED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TICKET OFFICE AGENT, PROCESSING FEES MAY APPLY.
IF YOU CANCEL LESS THAN 48 HOURS FROM THE EXCURSION WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE GIVEN VIA EMAIL OR PHONE, OR MISS YOUR SCHEDULED EXCURSION, THERE WILL BE NO EXCHANGES, NO TRANSFERS, OR NO CASH OR NOR CREDIT REFUND AVAILABLE… UNLESS TRIP PROTECTION WAS PURCHASED IN ADVANCE, IF IT WAS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR EXCURSION. ALL PASSENGERS ARE EXPECTED TO ARRIVE WITH ENOUGH TIME TO BOARD THE TRAIN, USUALLY THIS IS ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES IN ADVANCE, AND BOARDING MAY CLOSE BEFORE 2 MINUTES OF DEPARTURE FOR SAFETY CHECKS. IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT OF AN UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCE THAT CAUSES THE EXCURSION TO BE CANCELLED BY THE RAILROAD OPERATOR, REFUNDS OR CREDITS WILL BE MADE ACCORDINGLY.
MUSEUM PASS SALES
MUSEUM ADMISSION SALES ARE FINAL AT THE POINT OF PURCHASE, ADVANCED RESERVATIONS ARE NOT NEEDED FOR SPECIFIC DATES AND GUESTS CAN ARRIVE ANY DAY THE MUSEUM IS OPEN DURING PUBLIC HOURS, INCLUDING FUTURE DATES. IF YOUR PLANNED ARRIVAL IS FARTHER IN THE FUTURE THAN 2 YEARS FROM PURCHASE, IT IS BEST TO CONTACT THE RAILROAD TO ASSURE YOUR PRE-PURCHASED ADMISSION WILL BE AVAILABLE UPON ARRIVAL.
TERMS OF SALES
TICKET SALES ARE CONSIDERED FINAL AT THE POINT OF PURCHASE. TICKET SALES AND RESERVATIONS CAN BE RESCHEDULED OR REFUNDED WITH NO ADDITIONAL COSTS OR FEES IF AT LEAST 48-HOURS NOTICE IS GIVEN PRIOR TO THE EXCURSION DEPARTURE TIME BY THE PATRON. THIS CAN BE COMMUNICATED VIA EMAIL OR PHONE AND MUST BE CONFIRMED BY A RAILROAD TICKET AGENT WITH AT LEAST 48 HOURS NOTICE.
