About
Our boat trip will cast off near Belém Tower (in Doca do Espanhol), a privileged area to explore some of the most famous historical monuments, but from the quietness of the Tagus River. It's an opportunity to learn about history, Portuguese curiosities, to cruise and relax all while eating and drinking off an exclusive menu made of one of a kind tastings.
We’ll immerse ourselves into the old part of Lisbon, namely Terreiro do Paço and Alfama. We’ll understand how Lisbon port and margins evolved along the centuries, identify the old fish markets, the places where Romans produced a fish sauce called garum, the richness of Tagus river and how it all shaped cultures, battles, empires and the cosmopolitan Lisbon of today.
Along our way, the 7 hills of Lisbon will become clearer in a continuous silhouette against the sky: Graça, Saint Jorge Castle, and some of the best miradouros that this city has to offer like the miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara and Adamastor.
With Lisbon as a backdrop and a welcoming Port cocktail in your hand, we’ll begin to explore Portuguese cuisine and wine.
Our Lisbon sailboat tour will then change direction and you'll be amazed by the diversity of the landscape. On the opposite margin, you’ll see the old stores where Port wine and dried codfish were kept, the Cristo Rei statue plus lots of street art, and secret restaurants to make plans for.
If the weather allows, we'll then search for a quiet place to anchor, to have a swim, and to gather ourselves around the table tasting a unique dish created by our Chef exclusively for this trip with a unique fresh Portuguese white wine!
While eating, drinking, and learning about Portuguese food we’ll slowly approach Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, and Padrão dos Descobrimentos Monument, an area devoted to the 15th-century Portuguese sailors and known for its peculiar architectonic features.
With our appetite satisfied we’ll sail back and enjoy the sunset as we approach our final destination.
