Homeschooling families are invited to join us for Homeschool Days during the 2024-2025 school year.

About
Join us for a Palaeo-Science Fair program in the morning (10 AM – 12:30 PM). Students will get to explore paleo-science through interactive learning stations set up throughout the gallery. Learning will focusing on dinosaurs, fossil formation, palaeo-biology, palaeo-ecology, evolution, geology, and the scientific method. Each student is provided with a "Passport Through Time” and a worksheet.
Homeschool Days content is geared toward Grades 1-12, with parent assistance for the younger students. Students aged 12+ can be dropped off and attend without parental supervision. Children 11 and under must have parent supervision with them. Staggered starts will determine which station students will start at, please let staff know if you are with a large group and would like to complete the stations together.
A space to eat lunch and store belongings is available, ask staff if you need this option. An education movie in our theatre will also be shown for homeschool families.

Schedule
10am:
Doors open, check in, pick up passports and worksheets.
12:30pm:
palaeo-science fair stations close
Homeschool families can stay for the afternoon programming or depart the museum. Families can eat lunch in the theatre, purchase food from the cafe or eat outside on the patio (weather dependent).
1pm
Afternoon programming begins in the classroom. Please arrive on time as this program includes teaching and instructions.
1:45pm
Paleo-themed movie in the theatre. As staff what the movie choice will be.
3pm
Homeschool Days ends.
