When the sun goes down, life in the oceans awakens giving way to a new nocturnal life in the coral reefs. Let us accompany you on an exciting night snorkeling experience where we dive into the sea, turn on the light to observe different fish, mollusks , corals and crustaceans, which no longer hide, living in the shadow of the night. Come on, venture into this new adventure, where the darkness of the night bathes us in the natural light of marine life.

Itinerary
- Check In & Safety talk: Arrive to Villa Marina, Fajardo Puerto Rico.
- Cruise Along the East Coast of Puerto Rico. From this point we will have a different perspective of the Las Cabezas de San Juan Lighthouse and Las Croabas.
- Destination:
- Palomino Island: Approximate navigation time 15 minutes. Guided Snorkeling Stop approximate 1.5 hours. Here, we dive into the sea and turn on our lights to observe marine life for about an hour and a half. Once we have finished the snorkeling part, we invite you to warm up with the delicious snacks that we have prepared, while you observe the star constellations and listen to the sounds of the sea.

What to bring
A small bag with:
- Swimsuit or clothes that can get wet, preferably light colors.
- Water shoes.
- Towels.
- Medicines.
- A Valid ID
- We have coolers available if you want bring your own drinks. Please select the dinks in cans no glass.
Special requirements
- Please note: this experience is sailed in a 27-foot boat in open water. On occasion we can expect choppy and or bumpy ride.
- Depending on the maritime conditions of the day and the experience of our guests, the captain can adjust the itinerary and places on the islands to visit.
- All guests must be able to communicate in English or Spanish.
- Minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult participating in the activity.
Restrictions
- The following guests cannot participate: state of pregnancy, guests with surgeries, guests with neck, back, arm or leg problems, guests who have epilepsy, heart conditions and/or dizziness.

Pirate Snorkeling specializes in introducing guests to the amazing underwater life and natural beauty of Puerto Rico. We are passionate about marine-life and eco-tourism and hope that our guests are inspired to make a commitment to protect our oceans and marine-life too. We ask that you do not touch coral, fish, or turtles and please, never feed the fish anything a human would eat. Help our reefs and oceans by using sustainable practices such as reef safe sunscreen, reusable water bottles, and reusable cups.
Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee the amount or type of fish you will see on our tours. We do not feed the fish to bring them close to visitors. This is harmful to the fish’s natural diet and it interferes with their natural feeding cycles.

What happens if it rains?
We constantly monitor weather and swell forecasts to ensure all our guests safety. In the event that weather conditions are not optimal for going out, you will be notified by phone. In case we cannot reach you quickly by phone, text message and email will be our next options. If we are forced to cancel a tour due to weather conditions, we will offer you the solution that better fits your needs, including rescheduling to another date, booking another tour, or full refund.
Is this trip suitable for pregnant women?
No. Our vessel due to normal movement with currents, wind, and waves, increases the risks of tripping or falling for all guests. Pregnant women are susceptible to tripping or falling faster. The safety of your unborn child and yours are very important for us. In case of emergency, we cannot guarantee a fast return to the mainland or the necessary medical assistance.
I don’t know how to swim. Can I still go?
Yes. We will be provided you a flotation belt, so no expert knowledge of swimming is required. The vessel is equipped with US Coast Guard approved life jackets. Our tour guides are also trained lifeguards. If you choose not to join the snorkeling sessions and only enjoy the trip and beach explorations, that is fine too.
Can we bring our own food?
Yes you can bring your own food. The experience includes an all you can eat and drink buffet, with both soft drinks and non alcoholic beverages, so it’s better that you just come ready to enjoy and take advantage of all the perks already included in your trip.
Cancellations
Thanks for choosing Pirate Snorkeling Shack. By making the reservation with us, you and each of the participants freely and voluntarily accept each of the following terms and conditions.
General Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made by phone directly with Pirate Snorkeling Shack calling 787-556-0104 48 hours before the scheduled time for the start of the activity, for a full refund of money. If the client cancels less than 48 hours before the scheduled time for the start of the tour or rental, the total cost of the activity will be charged, for the management of expenses. There is no money back.
If the client wishes to make any changes to their reservation, they must contact Pirate Snorkeling Shack by phone at 787-556-0104, at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled start time of the tour or rental. We can reschedule your reservation for a future date with a rescheduling fee of $ 15 per person for guided tours or $10 per rental item subject to availability. In order to make the change Pirate Snorkeling Shack reserves the right to accept or reject any request to change the date, time or rental item.
Customers with reservations must arrive on time. The time consumption of the rented item and / or tour will begin at the time established in the reservation and will end at the agreed time in the reservation. No show and / or does not arrive on time will be considered as an activity carried out and there is no money back. This policy applies to everyone, including cruise passengers.
Participant agrees to resign the right to receive a refund of the money and agrees not to make claims to the credit card or any other means of digital payments.
Weather Cancellation Policy
Pirate Snorkeling Shack works in a natural environment. By working in a natural environment, all activities are subject to the climatic conditions being optimal for any activity at sea. If we are forced to cancel a experience due to weather conditions, we will offer you the solution that best suits your needs: a new date for the activity, the reservation of another tour or rental or the full refund of your money . However, please note that we are the ones who determine cancellations due to weather conditions. Please do not make the mistake of deciding not to attend because you think the weather might not be right, because if we do the activity and you decided not to attend, you will still be charged for the activity. Additional notes
Due to the unique nature and small size of our groups, we are forced to remain firm on our cancellation policy. Please note that on the day of your tour or rental we will be there, on site, waiting and ready to serve you. Regardless of the reason for the cancellation, our time and effort are already invested; We may have even rejected other customers by maintaining their space. Thanks for your understanding!
