As the sun goes down over Q Station, many of our shadowy buildings have stories to tell; 150 years of misfortune and untimely deaths; stories of pain, loss and suffering.
Whether you believe in ghosts or not, this 2.5 hour tour will keep you entertained as you walk our site, discovering the intriguing stories of Q Station’s history and the spirits who linger today. Grab a lantern and join our guide!

Check-in details
- Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the tour commencement, to allow time to park at Q Station Hotel Reception
- You can then catch a free shuttle from reception, or walk down to the wharf
What to bring
Please wear enclosed flat, comfortable walking shoes. Sandals, thongs and heels are not recommended footwear.
As our tours are all weather, you may need to bring a rain jacket/umbrella, or hat + sunscreen. You are welcome to bring a torch for moving between the sites as well if needed as it will be dark due to the site being a National Park with fauna living nearby.

Restrictions
All tours are walking tours and include inclines, declines, steps and uneven surfaces through our national park heritage site. Reasonable walking mobility and fitness level is required as you will be standing or walking for the duration of the tour.
Please note that no personal film or audio recording equipment is permitted on tours. You can take still photos. If you have photos you’d like to share, please email them to toursdesk@qstation.com.au

Cancellations
Tour Content, Age Restrictions and Disruptive Behaviours
Age restrictions apply to all tours. For specific details, please refer to the tour description on our website. Participants may be required to present valid identification. Refunds will not be issued for participants who are incorrectly booked on tours for which they do not meet the age requirements. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please be advised that some tours may include content that some individuals may find confronting. This may include, but is not limited to, themes such as death, mortality, mistreatment, and the harsh living conditions faced by those in quarantine.
All tours are non-smoking, and the consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited during the tour. To ensure the safety and comfort of all participants, individuals who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or other substances will not be permitted to join the tour.
Disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Any individual exhibiting disruptive behaviour will be asked to leave the tour, and no refund will be issued.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Refunds or transfers cannot be processed for cancellations made on the day prior to or the day of the tour. Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a refund to the original payment method, subject to a 10% cancellation fee of the ticket price. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days.

A reasonable level of mobility and fitness is required, as participants will be standing or walking for the duration of the tour. It is strongly recommended that you wear enclosed, flat, and comfortable walking shoes. Sandals, thongs, or heels are not suitable for these tours.
Tours will proceed in all weather conditions and will be conducted both indoors and outdoors. Participants should dress appropriately for the conditions, including wearing a warm jacket and bringing a torch for evening tours, a raincoat, or sun protection depending on the forecast. A water bottle is also recommended. Please note that there are no secure facilities available to store bags during the tour.
Minimum Number of Participants
Each tour requires a minimum of 6 attendees to proceed. We will assess the number of bookings at 1:00 PM on the day of the tour and notify participants if the tour has not met the minimum requirement. In the event of a cancellation, guests will be offered the option of a full refund or rescheduling to an alternative date.
