This historic hike follows the route of the old Historic Hurricane Canal (no longer in use) in the canyon from the Hurricane Hill Trailhead to Chinatown Wash where hikers will traverse three tunnels and two flumes (a bridge for water). While mostly following the canal route, this hike includes some scrambling over rocks as well as a short descent and climb.

What to bring

All hikers should wear appropriate hiking shoes, carry enough water and be in reasonably good physical condition.
