Designed by Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril, the course capitalizes on the natural topography, incorporating lush vegetation, dramatic elevation changes, and ocean vistas to create an immersive and visually captivating golfing experience.
One of the standout features of the White Witch Golf Course is its reputation for challenging play. Its design combines long, narrow fairways and strategically placed hazards, demanding precision and skill from golfers of all levels. With its unique and varied layout, each hole presents a new challenge, ensuring that no two rounds are alike. The course's undulating greens and Caribbean breezes add an extra layer of complexity, making it both a rewarding and memorable test for golf enthusiasts.
The White Witch has garnered multiple accolades, solidifying its position as one of the top courses in the Caribbean. It has been consistently ranked among the "Top 100 Golf Courses in the World" by various publications. It was awarded “Jamaica’s Best Golf Course” at the 2015 World Golf Awards and has received honors such as the "Best Caribbean Golf Course" by USA Today. Additionally, it has been rated as the #1 Golf Course and #1 in Golf Shop Staff service by Conde Nast Traveler. These awards speak to the quality of the course, both in terms of its playability and its unmatched beauty, making it a must-visit destination for golfers visiting Jamaica.
Beyond its natural beauty and awards, the White Witch Golf Course offers exceptional service that enhances the golfing experience. Golfers are often paired with experienced caddies who provide insights into the course's nuances and local lore, adding a personal touch to the game.
