Start & End Times
We start at your scheduled start time (between 2am and 8am); however, we recommend an earlier start time (2am to 6am) to expand the opportunity for trailhead parking availability and beautiful sunrise views. We end the trip no more than 8 hours after your start time, dependent on factors such as: the route, pace of the group, weather, etc.
Meeting Location & Time
Sandbeach Lake Trailhead, at your scheduled time between 2am and 8am.
What to Bring
Day backpack, meals & snacks, rain gear (jacket, pants, etc.), clothing for all weather (base layers, mid layers, puffy, long pants and long sleeve shirts), sturdy hiking boots, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc. Please reach out if you would like assistance preparing for your trip!
Park Entry
We cover the hiking permits and timed entry reservation. You'll need to purchase your park entry pass. If you have an America The Beautiful pass, you are all set!
Meal Information
If you purchase a trip that includes a Basic Meal, we will ask what kind of wrap (ham, turkey, or veggie) you would like at checkout. Your wrap will be served with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo, and will come with a granola bar and piece of fruit. Veggie wraps will be served with hummus instead of mayo, while gluten free requests will be served with a gluten free wrap.
If you purchase a trip that includes a Premium Meal, we will ask what kind of charcuterie-style meal (salmon, salami, or mussels & mackerel) you would like at checkout. Your meal will come with cheese, crackers, nuts and a piece of fruit.
We will work to accommodate most dietary restrictions, allergies and preferences.
Age Guidelines
Due to the strenuous nature of this hike, the following age guidelines apply to all full day adventures:
Participants age 16 & 17: May participate in mixed group trips if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Participants age 15 and younger: May only participate in private group trips and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
All minor participants must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the entirety of the adventure. If either the minor or the guardian needs to exit at any time during the adventure, both must exit together.
Itinerary Changes
We make every effort to uphold the scheduled itinerary but do not guarantee completion of the scheduled itinerary. After departure, we reserve the right to alter, omit or adapt any part of the itinerary, without allowance of refund, for reasons beyond our control (weather, natural hazards, participant fitness, etc.) or due to the needs of the group.
