Our self-captained pontoon boat rentals are a great way to experience Milwaukee from the water and at your own pace.
PONTOON RENTAL INFORMATION:
Our pontoon boat rentals provide a unique opportunity for a self-guided tour of downtown Milwaukee’s waterways, landmarks, and skyline. Each 21-foot pontoon boat holds up to 10 people, including your driver, and can be rented for a half day (4 hours) or full day (9 hours).
Payment is made in full at the time of booking and is nonrefundable. Waivers must be signed by all guests prior to boarding and can be completed online in advance to save time on the day of your rental. All guests, regardless of whether they have already signed the waiver, must check-in with our dock staff upon arriving for their rental.
Food and drinks may be brought onboard. Guests are responsible for taking all trash with them after their cruise; trash may not be left or disposed of in Pere Marquette Park.

Additional information
Special requirements
Rental Requirements:
All rentals have a strict 10-passenger capacity (including the driver) and are self-captained. Riverwalk does not provide captains for self-captained pontoon rentals.
You must be at least 25 years old to rent and operate our self-captained pontoon boats, as well as complete the following requirements:
Fill out a rental agreement and sign a waiver before boarding
Present a valid car driver’s license in the driver’s name upon arrival
Present a valid credit (NOT debit) card in the driver’s name upon arrival
If born on or after January 1st of 1989, present a valid Wisconsin boater’s safety license
Agree to the authorization of a $500 hold on the driver’s credit card before boarding; this will be returned barring any damage to the boat or loss of equipment
Drivers should obtain their Wisconsin boater’s safety license ahead of their rental by completing a State-approved safety course and passing a boater’s safety exam. A temporary Wisconsin boater’s safety license can be obtained, while a lifetime Wisconsin boater’s safety license can be obtained on the website. Please plan to set aside time to complete the course and exam ahead of your rental date, as it can take a few hours to complete. Refunds will not be issued if a renter fails to meet this or any of our posted boat driver requirements upon showing up for their rental.
Non-driving passengers must complete the following requirements:
Sign a waiver before boarding
Have any youth or infants fitted for U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets
We have youth life jackets of all sizes available for renters to use if they do not have their own
Fishing, swimming, and smoking/open flames are PROHIBITED onboard all of our boats.
Cancellations
NO REFUNDS GIVEN FOR CUSTOMERS THAT NO SHOW OR CANCEL THEIR PONTOON RENTAL.
If Riverwalk cancels the full and complete rental due to severe weather or mechanical issues, the renter will be offered a full refund or credit. If a rental was started but not completed because of severe weather, a rental credit may be issued for the portion of a rental that was affected by severe weather.
