There is no better way to celebrate the coming of spring than on the Naugatuck Railroad's Easter Bunny Express!
Climb aboard for a 1 hour and 20 minute train ride through the beautiful Litchfield Hills as they reawaken after a cold, long winter's nap. Passengers on these trains enjoy a stop at the Bunny Patch where children will have the chance to help rescue the Easter Bunny's rubber duck friends! All children will have the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny himself, as well as receive a chocolate-filled egg from his very own collection.
What's included
- Each Child will help the Easter Bunny find 3 rubber ducks from the Bunny Patch, will be provided with a basket to take home, and receive an egg filled with chocolates onboard the train from the Easter Bunny!
- Premium Coach, Retro Lounge, and Naugatuck Lounge passengers will receive an additional gift from the Easter Bunny, Have access to onboard restrooms, complementary snacks, and adult beverages available for purchase.

The following purchase policies are designed to ensure your satisfaction and understanding of the purchase process on the Railroad Museum of New England/Naugatuck Railroad website. If you have any questions about the information below, please submit your questions by viewing our online contact page.
Refund Policy
All trains depart at the scheduled times, and you are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes before departure. We have no control over your arrival time, and do not refund if you miss the train. All tickets for train travel and events purchased through the Railroad Museum of New England/Naugatuck Railroad website are non-refundable, unless we cancel the event.
Transfer Policy
Tickets may be transferred to another scheduled train provided there is space available. This Excludes Northern Lights Limited and Santa Express Tickets. No Transfers may be made for Northern Lights Limited or Santa Express Trains. There is a fee per transaction to transfer tickets to a new date, time, class of service, or excursion. We reserve the right to refuse ticket transfers at any time.
Please contact the Railroad Museum of New England/Naugatuck Railroad at least 5 days prior to the ticketed departure date/time. Transfers will not be made less than 5 days from the departure time/date. Transfers apply only for identical train service. Use our contact page and be sure to include your confirmation number, the ticketed date and time, and what date and time you are interested in traveling. A $2 fee per ticket may apply.

All ticket prices are stated in U.S. Dollars.
Payment Methods
Tickets purchased through the Railroad Museum of New England/Naugatuck Railroad website may be bought using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover credit cards. Tickets purchased at the ticket window at the Thomaston Ct. Station may be bought using cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover credit cards.
Order Confirmation
If you do not receive a confirmation number (in the form of a confirmation page) after submitting payment information or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, it is your responsibility to contact the Railroad Museum of New England/Naugatuck Railroad to ensure that your order has been placed. Only you may be aware of any problems that occur during the purchase process. You may be asked to provide the Order Confirmation email or Government Issued ID at the ticket office to receive your train tickets.
Weather Related Cancellations
Railroads do operate in all kinds of weather. We close only if the State of Connecticut issues a State of Emergency. A cancellation notice may be posted on our Website or Facebook page. Refunds will be given only in the event that trains are canceled. It may be possible to transfer to another excursion, see Transfer Policy, Above.
Billing Information Verification
Orders are processed only after a billing address, and other billing information, has been verified. Occasionally, we receive incorrect billing or credit card account information for a ticket order that can delay processing and delivery. In these cases, the Railroad Museum of New England/Naugatuck Railroad will attempt to contact you, using the information provided at the time of purchase.
Staff Photographer
The Railroad Museum of New England and Naugatuck Railroad occasionally has an identifiable Museum staff photographer on board trains, at the station, and at events held on railroad property. This Museum photographer is taking photos and videos for RMNE/Naugatuck Railroad promotional and publicity uses. If you do not wish to be included in any photos/videos, please inform the photographer.
No Outside Alcohol
No outside alcohol may be brought, consumed, or distributed onboard our passenger trains.
