If you are pressed for time, the prospect of entering into the Colosseum can be a daunting one. With an average of over 7½ million people entering inside every year you would be forgiven for thinking that there is no quick way to visit the site, but on this tour we can get you immediate access into the Colosseum with one of our helpful and knowledgeable guides who can make sure you get the full experience without having to miss out on anything else.
You will get a short introduction about the Colosseum, learning about the Flavian dynasty who built the amphitheatre as a gift to the Roman people, gaining them enormous popularity and a place in history. Walking round the outside of the building we can get an idea of the expansive architecture and many styles the Colosseum holds from its tall roman arches to the various different styles of Greek columns that can still be found decorating the exterior. As we head inside the colosseum we will be entering through the same gates that eager Romans would have rushed into to see the games.
Once inside we will rise up into the seating area, where rich Patrician families would have sat and watched the spectacle, which now offers a perfect view onto the Arena floor but also an aerial viewpoint down into the underground area, used as the Colosseums backstage where gladiators and animals would have prepared for battle. From there we will walk around the enormous building with its many different angles offering great photo opportunities. As we make our way around we will come downstairs for a closer look at the arena and get an idea of what it would have felt like walking out in front of thousands of fans screaming out for blood.

Proof of identification may be required, so please bring a valid form of photo ID for each guest.

Tours will proceed in all weather conditions, unless the site is closed by authorities for safety reasons. It is highly recommended to bring bottled water, sunscreen, hat, and umbrella.

There will be a security check upon entering the Colosseum. Any weapons, sharp objects, glass or aerosol containers will be confiscated, so please do not bring these items to the tour.
