Overview
Activity details
The private version of my Oxford University & City Tour. Bespoke, expertly created, and completely unforgettable: experience the world’s greatest university on your terms – led by Rory, recent graduate of the University of Oxford (BA Philosophy and Theology, 2020-2023).
You’ll discover a thousand years of history and tradition, learn from first-hand experience what it’s like to be an Oxford University Student, and visit some of the most incredible architecture in the world. But how we do that is up to you. You can leave the route up to me, and I’ll tailor it to your specific interests; or you can add extra stops, visit a different part of the city, or – well – anything you like!

FAQs
Will we get to go inside the colleges?
We will go inside Trinity College if it is available. Although Trinity College is available around 90% of the time, since the colleges of Oxford are all working places of learning, the colleges may close at short notice or be otherwise unavailable.
If Trinity College is unavailable, we will try to go inside Divinity School, which is the oldest teaching room in the University of Oxford. Divinity School entry cannot be guaranteed either - but I will always try my best to find somewhere we can go inside!
All other colleges are seen from the outside only.
If you are particularly keen to go inside another college, you could consider selecting the additional option to go inside New College.
Can we go inside the libraries?
All college libraries can only be accessed by students. We will go into the courtyard of the Bodleian Library (Schools Quadrangle), but will not be able to go into the library itself. Only the Bodleian Libraries themselves are able to run tours inside the library.
On request, we may be able to go into Divinity School instead of Trinity College. Divinity School is accessed through the Bodleian Library, and is the oldest teaching room in the University.
Are there any bathrooms on route?
The only public bathrooms we will pass are in the Western Library, which we will pass about 30 minutes into the tour. If there are other people on the tour, however, we may not be able to wait whilst you use the bathroom.
