Salem On Your Own is a great alternative to a guided walking tour by allowing your mobile device to become your private guide taking you to places that many tours glance over.

This self-guided tour includes 37 historically accurate stops, over 60 minutes of recorded information, and is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hear amazing, harrowing, and true stories of Salem’s past which includes the Old Witch Goal, the Witch House, Salem's oldest cemetery, the Witch Trials Memorial, the House of the Seven Gables, the Parker Brothers, Hollywood in Salem, some of the Hocus Pocus movie sites, Salem Jail's Great Escape, just to name a few highlights!

The app includes a GPS map preloaded with narration and photos, which gives directions to stops and comes to life when you near a historic site.

Remember the app is downloadable to just one GPS-enabled, Internet-ready mobile device and expires two days after the date you select for your tour.

To purchase the app, select the date on the calendar that you want to tour Salem. After your purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing your passcode, and download instructions.

That’s it, then start at Stop 1 - The National Park Service Visitor Center and follow the route line.

Admission fees to Salem’s attractions or museums are not included in the price of your self-guided tour app.
